Why do we do accessibility evaluations?

An accessibility evaluation delivers:

  • Specific recommendations for increasing the accessibility of your digital platforms, as well as a thorough analysis of your website's accessibility strengths and weaknesses
  • Detailed explanations of how to make your websites compliant with the UK Equality Act and up to and beyond AA-compliant with the W3C guidelines

What does a typical accessibility evaluation involve?

Our accessibility evaluation process is:

  1. We perform a number of checks to identify the current level of accessibility on your site, as well as important changes that are required

  2. We use a number of programs including JAWS screen reader, ZoomText screen magnifier, colour blind analyser, HTML validator and more

  3. We'll produce a highly recommendation-driven report with specific recommendations for remedying all accessibility issues

  4. After you've implemented our recommendations, we'll run an accessibility health check on your website to ensure it continues to be effective 3-6 months after implementation

  5. The web accessibility evaluation can be carried out in conjunction with our disabled user testing service, where we recruit a range of disabled web users and have them complete common tasks on your website

When is the best time to do it?

Accessibility is an important aspect of your customer experience strategy as it ensures that your digital platforms are suitable for all customers. Accessibility can always be improved, and usefully inspected on a finished website or prototype.
