The IA training is part of our user experience training programme of 16 courses - get a 10% or 20% discount when you book on any 2 or 3+ different courses respectively.

IA course duration & details

The course lasts for 2 consecutive days (10:00-17:00 each day) and takes place at our purpose-built training centre at the Webcredible offices in London. You will:

  • Receive all training materials and an 80-page IA manual (containing all tutorials)
  • Get very well fed whilst you're here - we provide light breakfast snacks, a buffet-style lunch with hot & cold canapés and refreshments throughout the day
  • Attend a relatively small (maximum 10 participants) IA course that's interactive, informal and fun

What you'll learn on the IA course

Our 2-day information architecture course teaches how to organise information and content based on customer behaviour. You'll work through all the stages of a comprehensive user-centred design process to become familiar with every step, leading to robust site and page structures.

The IA course topics are:

  • What is information architecture
  • A user-centred design process
  • User research techniques including interviews, focus groups, surveys, ethnography, diary studies, content inventories, card sorting and tree testing
  • Analysing & communicating research with personas
  • Using research to create content and information architecture including site maps, navigation and page template layout
  • Validation and evaluation methods

This course is particularly suitable if you are:

  • A web owner, content editor, digital project manager, visual designer, front-end web developer or a manager of marketing and digital platform
  • Looking for an entry level course into the practical implementation of user experience and structuring your website or digital platform

Yeevon Ooi

Yeevon is a Lead User Experience Consultant at Webcredible. She holds a Masters in Human-Computer Interaction with Ergonomics from UCL and a degree in Psychology. Her areas of specialism include managing and implementing user-centred design projects with a particular interest in carrying out user research as well as delivering interaction design projects that involve business requirements gathering, conceptual design and creating wireframes.

Isabel Santafe

Isabel is a UX consultant at Webcredible. She holds a Masters degree in Social Anthropology from SOAS and a Masters in Human-Computer Interaction from UCL. She has extensive design research experience and specialises in Mobile User Experience and ethnographic research methods. She is an experienced trainer and regularly writes articles and runs usability testing, user research and design projects.

Our training facilities

Our IA courses are all run at our purpose-built training centre at the Webcredible offices in London.

All our training is run in a bright airy room with each person having access to a PC. You can also use our break-out area, with refreshments provided throughout the day.
