Social media course duration & details

The course lasts for 1 day (10:00-17:00) and takes place at our purpose-built training centre at the Webcredible offices in London. You will:

  • Receive all training materials and an 80-page social media manual (containing all tutorials)
  • Get very well fed whilst you're here - we provide light breakfast snacks, a buffet-style lunch with hot & cold canapés and refreshments throughout the day
  • Attend a relatively small (maximum 10 participants) social media course that's interactive, informal and fun

What you'll learn on the social media course

Social media is an essential way of marketing your business and interacting with your customers. This 1-day introduction course will ensure you know what social media is, why you should use it and how to get maximum benefit from the different platforms for your business.

The social media course topics are:

  • Social media monitoring tools and how to use them
  • Benchmarking, "listening" and engaging with customers
  • Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Blogs, microblogging sites and social networks
  • Selecting appropriate platforms
  • Monetisation
  • Pitfalls of social media and social media policies
  • Using social insights across other digital channels

Who is the social media course for?

This course is particularly suitable if you are:

  • Looking to learn more about (or are new to) social media or have recently started running your company's Twitter or Facebook
  • Seeking an overview of social media and to learn best practices and different platforms
  • Wanting to learn about best practices and etiquette, and how to find the most suitable platforms for your organisation to achieve its goals

You don't need any prior knowledge but an idea of why you or your company wants to use social media would be useful as the training focuses on how you might best achieve these goals/targets.

If the course seems too basic then you may prefer to attend our advanced social media course which usually takes place the day after this course.

Support after your social media training

Our online Webcredible training community on LinkedIn provides on-going support after the course. We invite you to join the Alumni group in order to:

  • Interact directly with our e-learning community, expert trainers and fellow students
  • Get regular updates, tips and engage with us on our live chats and webinars
  • Join in with discussions or ask questions to help you progress your learning once you're back in your working environment
