Axure training course launched

by Trenton Moss on 12 October 2010

We’re really pleased to announce our latest training course, prototype with Axure training. The course, as with all our training courses, is highly interactive and taught by our user experience experts, and is the fifth course in ourusability & accessibility training stream.

In case you don’t know it, Axure can be used to rapidly create wireframes and prototypes, and over the past few years has become one of the most powerful tools in an interaction designer’s arsenal. It’s an intuitive and usable application, one of the reason’s for its popularity (according to the Axure website they have 15,000 customers). We have however found that many people using it aren’t doing so to its full potential, so we thought this would be a good course to add to our training program.

If you decide to attend the course then you will:

  • Design wireframes for a website using Axure RP Pro
  • Annotate wireframes and produce documentation
  • Create interactive website prototypes for usability testing
  • Standardise common elements on your wireframes e.g. headers & footers (using Axure Masters & Widgets)
  • Create dynamic interactions such as page overlays, tabs & ‘accordion’ elements (using Axure Dynamic Panels)
  • Simulate complex form flows (using Axure Conditional Logic)
  • Set up shared projects to allow a team to collaborate on a set of wireframes
  • Use ready-made widget libraries for standard website elements

Do you use Axure? Are these the types of things you’d like to learn? Let us know if we’re missing anything from the list…
