We worked closely with Instant Offices to deliver a market-leading website redesign and digital strategy, confronting the difficulties of the office broking industry.

The challenge

The office broking industry as a whole struggles with legacy systems and generally offers a very poor experience for customers.

Switching to the Sitecore CMS, Instant Offices wanted to revolutionise their digital proposition, becoming far more than just an office broker so as to significantly stand out in a very crowded market.

The objectives of our engagement were to:

  • Improve user journeys through the site in order to offer an amazing experience
  • Add value to Instant Offices' users through personalised experiences by utilising the large amount of data at their disposal
  • Create a scalable platform that could grow with the business
  • Build an emotional connection with users, allowing them to envisage themselves in a property

Our approach

We took an agile approach with Instant Offices' teams, Sitecore developers and Webcredible collaborating to plan, design and build a stunning new digital proposition to very tight deadlines:

  1. We carried out in-depth research with both Instant Offices staff and their customers from all over the world, using these insights to form a comprehensive digital strategy and roadmap.

  2. We jointly created early concepts in our design war room, alongside Instant Offices' stakeholders and one of the Sitecore developers (who worked from our offices throughout).

  3. We continued with the website design, responsive across desktop and mobile, working in sprints and deploying our work into the Sitecore environment at regular sprint intervals.

  4. As well as regular rounds of user testing at our labs in London, we validated our designs with Instant Offices' international audience through remote testing.

Impact & results

By redesigning the Instant Offices website we created a best-in-class user experience for their customers. Conversion rates increased by 14% and the team reported back that the quality of their inquiries had greatly improved (leading to improved and larger sales).

There was also a 17% increase in visit duration as a result of people staying longer on the site and looking for more details around office space. Finally, there was a 54% increase in visitors using mobile and tablet devices as a result of creating a responsive site.

We had hoped for good results as usability testing on our final designs was extremely positive, faring particularly well when participants compared it to competitors they had experienced.
