Pearson Education wanted to support the migration of their products from very old fashioned physical media (CD-ROM and print) to digital media with user-centred methodologies, to maintain and enhance the quality of their customers' experience.
Having a user-centred design process embedded into all product development would help achieve this goal. They wanted key stakeholders to have a full understanding of, and buy-in to, user-centred design (UCD).
The main objectives were:
- Provide senior stakeholders in Pearson with an overview of the purpose of UCD and how to implement UCD processes
- Create and deliver interactive training that could be understood by teams that weren't familiar with design or user experience
- Transfer knowledge to allow internal teams to apply UCD processes to a range of products and services
