Lean UX training

Integrate UX into rapid digital processes

Lean UX is a very rapid way to carry out UX design, focusing on practical business outcomes rather than heavyweight design deliverables. Collaboration and the fast-paced research and design cycles mean you'll achieve maximum value for your business and customers.

Come on our fantastic lean UX course and learn the mindset and ways of working for lean UX to flourish, bringing a new level excitement to your teams when doing design. You'll get back to your office and be able to make decisions quicker and see the results sooner.

During the course, you will:

  • Get hands-on in our interactive design jam
You'll respond to a brief and complete a series of exercises in a lean way - includes carrying out research with real people, validating conceptual design ideas and presenting designs in progress
  • Identify the right lean UX process for you
You'll receive tailored guidance and best practice tips on how to implement a lean UX process in your organisation. Go back to the office the next day and get rapid design and testing processes embedded into your processes
  • Find out what lean UX really is
By the end of the day you'll know where lean UX comes from, how it's used, different ways of integrating it and precisely how it works
  • Get lots of guidelines for doing lean UX
We'll teach you the overarching lean UX principles, and take a critical and honest look at when lean UX is and isn't appropriate
  • Get to grips with waterfall, Agile and lean UX
As a group, we'll share our experiences and understanding of the different processes to delivering great UX

Is this the right course for you?

This course is particularly suitable if you are:

  • Looking for an initial understanding and support for implementing lean processes in your business
  • Wanting to improve the efficiency of UX in your organisation by taking a lean approach

Meet Richard Johnston, your trainer

Since 2009 Richard's been conducting user experience research, strategy and design for leading brands across the UK and internationally. He's Webcredible's main proponent for lean UX and has spent the past few years as a Senior Experience Consultant embedding lean methodologies into our UX processes.

Most of Richard's days are spent helping our clients understand their customers' requirements and then designing digital experiences based around their needs. In keeping with the lean UX spirit, he can often be found carrying out guerrilla research or locking himself in a war room with a team to rapidly sketch out innovative solutions.

Richard is a really passionate trainer and is well aware that less is more... he's careful to avoid information-overload, focusing on making sure you learn the practical skills to apply lean UX practices in your day job.
